Our project involves implementing a global enhancement technique to improve the tonal qualities of photographs taken with a digital still camera. To simplify the project, pictures taken with the camera, a SONY DSC-F1, are converted to grayscale (256 levels) images. The picture we worked with was taken at an exposure level of +2.
