Gray World
Gray world is one of the most common (and best) methods of color balancing
Assume that the average R, G, and B values are all the same
Scale the image’s R, G, and B values by addition or multiplication
- Addition can lead to false colors in areas missing color(s), since low digital values will get increased by the same amount as higher values
- Multiplication can lead to overemphasis of rare colors due to large scaling factor
