Conclusion
Characterization of the Nikon D70 digital camera required the measurements of dark current, dark signal non-uniformity (DSNU), read noise, spectral response function and photo response non-uniformity (PRNU). We succeeded in measuring these parameters, as evidenced by the Macbeth Coloring Checker verification procedures with the use of the Imaging Systems Evaluation Tool (ISET).
For future research work on the Nikon D70, we suggest further investigation of heating effects on the DSNU value. Comparison studies of the Nikon D70 digital camera and the D100 would also be illuminative.
