Image Series Generation

Two sets of images will be generated for analysis. One with a center target and one with out.

Together these sets of images were used to determine whether the camera makes use of just the center of the image when performing color balancing. Both sets were varied in target color from 435 nm to to 685 nm.

The set of images with a center target was used to analyze the color balancing. This set was used in this analysis since it was unknown whether the camera used just the center for its color balancing. These images were created by varying the background color and, as a result, the apparent ambient color in the image. The background was varied from 430 nm to 730 nm.

The spectrum colors where created using a modified version of spectrumMap.m which is located in the toolbox on the ISE machines. The modified version is called spectrum.m. This script is used in the MakeRainbow.m script which creates the data file colorRGB.mat which contains the spectrum data. MakeRainbow.m also displays and saves an image of this spectrum.

The images are generated using two scripts, CreateImagesCenterNoBig.m for creating the images without a center and CreateImagesCenterYesBig.m for creating the images with a center. These images are originally 1024x768.
