Conclusions I
Binary intensity decomposition/blurring/weighting is useful in displaying the full signal extent of high dynamic range images.
However, while these methods can improve certain areas of the image, other areas may be degraded.
Spatial decomposition in combination with intensity decomposition has potential to overcome this limitation.
